Question 1

What is hypnosis, and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness — similar to being absorbed in a good book or a long drive. In this relaxed, attentive state, it becomes easier to notice and work with the subconscious patterns, beliefs, and associations that shape how you think, feel, and respond.

Question 2

Will I be conscious and in control during hypnosis?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You remain aware, can hear everything, and can speak, move, or open your eyes whenever you choose. Hypnosis isn't something done to you — it's a state you're guided into, and you stay in charge the whole time.

Question 3

What if I've never been hypnotized before?

Accepted Answer

That's completely welcome — many clients are new to hypnosis. Emily will walk you through what to expect, answer your questions, and move at a pace that feels comfortable.

Question 4

What if I have trouble relaxing or quieting my mind?

Accepted Answer

You don't need a quiet mind to benefit. Busy thoughts are normal, and sessions are guided so you can simply follow along. Many people find it easier than they expected once they stop trying to do it "right."

Question 5

What can hypnosis help me explore?

Accepted Answer

Sessions may support exploring fears, limiting patterns, confidence, self-trust, people-pleasing, boundaries, and other personal-growth goals. Hypnosis is a complementary practice and not a substitute for medical or mental health care, and experiences vary from person to person.

Question 6

What should I expect during my first session?

Accepted Answer

Your first session begins with a conversation about what you'd like to explore. Emily then guides you into a relaxed, focused state for the hypnosis portion, followed by time to reflect on what came up and talk through next steps.

Question 7

What's the difference between private hypnosis and group experiences?

Accepted Answer

Private sessions are one-on-one and shaped entirely around your personal goals. Group experiences — such as hypnotic sound baths or Hypnotic Dance Trance — are shared, guided journeys designed for a collective setting and are a gentle way to experience hypnosis alongside others.

Question 8

Can I participate virtually?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Private sessions are available virtually wherever you are. All you need is a quiet, comfortable space, a reliable connection, and headphones if you have them.

Question 9

Where do in-person sessions take place?

Accepted Answer

In-person sessions are offered on Florida's Space Coast in thoughtfully selected outdoor locations. Emily will share location details once your session is arranged.

Question 10

How do I know which offering is right for me?

Accepted Answer

If you have a specific goal, 1:1 Hypnosis is a focused place to start. If you're seeking deeper, sustained support over time, STOP SHRINKING™ may be a fit. If you'd like to experience hypnosis in community, a group experience is a lovely introduction. When in doubt, send an inquiry and Emily will help you decide.

Question 11

What should I bring to an outdoor hypnosis or sound bath experience?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothing, a yoga mat or blanket to lie on, a pillow if you'd like extra support, water, and any layers or sun protection the weather calls for. Specific details are shared for each experience.

Question 12

How do I inquire about booking a private group or collaborative event?

Accepted Answer

Visit the Partnerships page to explore options, or send an inquiry and choose "Wellness Experience" or "Event / Collaboration." Share a few details about your group, setting, and timing, and Emily will follow up personally.
